One of the brightest and happiest holidays – Hanukkah is over. During the holiday, the program volunteers visited their wards, lit Hanukkah candles, cooked latkas and sufganiyot, created hand-made things and played dreidl together.
In addition, volunteers delivered 80 Hanukkah gifts to lonely older and inactive participants of the Bread-Milk and Open House programs. The volunteers shared the warmth of their hearts with older people, and in return our wards shared pleasant memories and wisdom with the volunteers. That is a cycle of goodness, warmth and light! It’s not for nothing that at Hanukkah people say: “Banu Hosheh Legaresh!” (“We came to drive away the darkness”)
